Hello Buena Terra Families,
I am honored to be your Buena Terra principal. I am new to Centralia Elementary School District but not new to education. I started my career in the Whittier City School District where I served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. From Whittier City, I moved to La Canada Unified as a teacher and then Bellflower Unified as an assistant principal. I also worked at Teacher Created Materials, an international educational publishing company in Huntington Beach. Most recently, I worked as a K-12 principal at Eastside Christian School in Fullerton. I am so excited to be back in public school and with elementary aged students.
I have been married for 17 years. My husband finished his credential right before the pandemic hit and he just completed his first year as a high school history teacher. He works in Inglewood Unified School District. I am an Orange County native. We don’t have any biological children but we were foster parents to our nephew. I can’t believe that he will be 24 in just a couple short weeks. We have two dogs and three birds at home. I say there is room for more, but my husband disagrees.
Parents, I am eager to get to know you and your children. Please know that I am always available to chat. I will be holding a meet and greet on Friday, July 29th from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Stop by for a cookie, some iced tea, and a chat. I will be in the front of the school. Please don’t forget to bring your children with you! I value building relationships with parents, students, and staff.
I am thrilled to be at Buena Terra School, a school known for strong community involvement, high academic achievement, and engaged students. I look forward to continuing to build on this strong foundation. I am ready to begin working for and with you to make the 2022-2023 school year the best year yet!
Respectfully,
Bianca Marchese
